From the text...'The help desk staff works closely with all agencies involved in wildland fire and aviation manage­ment to provide technical updates, new and updated applications, and notifications affecting fire applica­tion users. The help desk currently supports more than 40 applications or systems. Customers call with a wide range of requests, such as for:

  • User guides
  • F&AM software and training packages for various applica­tions
  • Guidance on weather station catalogs and indices
  • Observations and forecasts regarding the Weather Informa­tion Management System
  • Help in solving data problems with the Interagency Cache Business System or Aviation Management Information System'
