The Research Scientist 3 will work with the Climate Impacts Group (CIG)’s lead scientists to co-produce applied research, synthesize literature, and engage with partners on climate impacts and adaptation for natural systems in the northwestern U.S. The CIG works with decision makers and resource managers on the challenges that they face managing natural resources in a changing climate. As CIG’s project portfolio evolves, the Research Scientist 3 will provide analytical, logistical, and management support for projects in multiple resource areas including, but not limited to, water, ecosystems, wildlife and biodiversity. They will engage with partners at multiple stages in the adaptation process from impacts research and vulnerability assessment to adaptation planning and implementation. They will apply knowledge of co-production methodologies and climate data application to support projects that enable our partners to advance climate resilience of natural systems through capacity building, assessment, planning, and implementation.

Open until filled, priority will be given to applications received by Nov 8th, 2022
