2024 AWFCG Interagency Fuels Workshop

With greater emphasis and funding directed at hazardous fuels and wildlife habitat enhancement projects, agency staff are tasked with planning and implementing more vegetation treatments. The 2024 interagency workshop, hosted by the Alaska Fire Science Consortium and the AWFCG Interagency Fuels Management Committee, follows up on past workshops on this topic. Links to those workshops are below. The 2024 workshop will be both in person at the Atwood Building in Anchorage and online. The MS Teams link information is in the agenda.

In person capacity is limited, so we require registration, but participation is open and free. In person participants can park at Linny Pacillo Parking Garage located at 7th & E Street. The entrance is off of E Street. Parking can be validated by front desk security as you leave the building. .

The workshop will be followed on Thursday, Feb 29 by a meeting of the AWFCG Fuels Management committee; please contact Alison York to express interest in participating if you are not a member of the committee.
