Meeting

Location

Olympia, WA

Hosted by The Nature Conservancy in partnership with Washington's Department of Natural Resources, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Forest and Community Resiliency Roundtable, this day of advocacy begins with a breakfast and remarks from agency and non-profit leaders who have come together with landowners, timber industry partners, mill operators, and community groups such as Washington's Forest Health Collaboratives and the Washington Fire-Adapted Communities Learning Network to support locally driven large-landscape projects to improve forest and community resilience. A full day of meetings with legislators is scheduled, and participants in legislator meetings are invited to meet at lunchtime for discussion in the Pritchard Cafeteria. At 5:30pm, join legislators and fellow advocates for a screening of Wenatchee production company North40's presentation about living in the Era of Megafires.
