The 3rd Human Dimensions of Wildland Fire Conference is scheduled for April 17-19, 2012 at the Hilton Seattle in the heart of downtown Seattle, Washington. Abstracts are being accepted for oral presentations, poster presentations, and special sessions. Contributed oral and poster papers may cover a variety of topics, including but not limited to: Communications within Organization, Communications with Communities, Economics, Community preparedness/resilience/adaptive capacity, Mitigating Fire Risk on Public Lands, Mitigating Fire Risk on Private Lands, Disseminating and Applying Science, High Reliability Organizing/Organizational Learning/Culture, Sense making and Decision Making, Leadership, Crew Dynamics, and Risk and Uncertainty.
