We will provide researchers and managers the opportunity to share scientific findings and management experience on fire's role in restoration of watersheds and wildlife habitats, and in sustaining ecosystem services for future generations. An important objective is for participants to become acquainted with emerging initiatives and partnering opportunities that can enhance their fire community capabilities.
This conference addresses fire-adapted ecosystems throughout the North American Greater Southwest including: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas; southern Utah, California, and Colorado; and northern Mexico. Ecosystems of interest include deserts, grasslands, wetlands, riparian, piƱon-juniper, and mixed conifer.
