Description

Both of these Chena Lakes projects were designed to determine fuel treatment effectiveness, prescribed burn severity, and post-burn vegetative succession. Incident to the sampling, some tree cross-sections were collected in 2001 to determine approximate stand ages, and in one case to determine a fire date for a fire-scarred black spruce.
