Lesson Overview: Students work on fire mitigation project - fuels reduction project - to alter fire behavior. They can monitor an existing community project, plan a project, execute their own project, or do an outreach campaign about fuels reduction.
Lesson Goal: To give students on the ground experience applying their understanding of fuels and fire behavior to benefit their community.
Objective: Students can use their understanding of fuels and fire behavior to participate in a fuels reduction project or community outreach campaign.
