From the text... 'Aerial ignition was selected for safety and time considerations. Steep, dissected terrain made hand ignition unsafe.... Large units can be burned safely and quickly with a helitorch at far less expense than hand ignition.... Additional research is needed before permanent transects can be universally recommended.'
