To establish this credibility, soil conservationists and other professionals have to ensure that they are not isolating themselves from the community by using jargon that has no impact on the users of the land or the community. The education process and publications used need to be directed towards land users and not fellow natural resource managers. What is required is greater innovation from professionals and the need to formulate better marketing skills that associate soil conservation with people.
