Game theory and decision theory could help a fireboss evaluate strategies to use in forest fire control. This paper describes several types of matrix games, subjective utility, and various criteria for strategy selection. It shows, in scenario forms, how decision theory might be use in a fire-fighting problem.© Society of American Foresters, Bethesda, MD. Abstract reproduced by permission.
