This proceedings deals mainly with forest ecosystems (both plant and animal) in Canada and Alaska, with some Finnish experience included. Section 5 covers a range of resources, which includes agriculture, fisheries, horse production, and peat bioconversion. Section 6 considers hydroelectric development, waterfowl ecology, pollution with sulphur and radioactivity. Section 7 examines bureaucratic structures, social problems, community planning, forest research, fire impact management, and resource management.
