Provides baseline data on secondary plant succession and the development of plant species and life forms for the initial 6 to 15 years following a stand-replacing forest fire in the western redcedar-western hemlock type in northern Idaho. Information pertaining to plant cover (m2/0.01 ha) and volume of space occupied (m3/0.01 ha) is useful for evaluating forest species response to severe fire treatment and for analytical use in wildlife habitat and fire management planning, modeling early serai forest development, and other forest management applications.
