This mediasite video presentation given by Jeff Jones (US Forest Service, RMRS WFM RD&A) goes into detail about the National Interagency Fuels, Fire, and Vegetation Technology Transfer (NIFTT) team. He works with LANDFIRE, mainly focusing on technology transfer, and also heads the NIFTT vegetation technology team. He discusses what NIFTT does and the flagship tools used for fire behavior, fire effects, and ecological departure. The main sponsors for NIFTT are the Forest Service and the US Department of Interior (National Interagency Fuels Committee and LANDFIRE). Their partners include FRAMES, The Nature Conservancy, and the Rocky Mountain Research Station's Fire Modeling Institute. This presentation was given at the Southwest Interagency Fuels Workshop in Flagstaff, AZ on March 10, 2011.
