The Fire Behavior Field Reference Guide (FBFRG) was developed as a hands-on user tool for field going FBAN's along with various operational personnel. The guide contains helpful references to fuels, weather, fuel models, and terrain features that are vital to field going fire managers. The last rewrite to the FBFRG occurred in 1992 and the guide was last published due to lack of funds and support in 2001. At that time, Appendix B was identified as sufficient to support training and operations associated with S390 and S490. The NWCG Fire Behavior Committee has been tasked by the user community to update the FBFRG with references applicable to today technology and covert the document into an electronic hyperlinked format. This second in a series of webinars will attempt to encourage input and feedback from operational and training users that use appendix B in support of advanced fire behavior analysis skills. This webinar was hosted by the Wildland Fire Lessons Learned Center (http://wildfirelessons.net), the Joint Fire Science Program (http://www.firescience.gov/), and the International Association of Wildland Fire (http://www.iawfonline.org/).
