Duties:

• Manages a unit fuels management program.
• Develops and analyzes fuels treatment alternatives.
• Evaluates individual fuels treatments and the effectiveness of the assigned program to make recommendations for improvement.
• Creates, updates and uses fire modeling software to assist in treatment recommendations.
• Designs fuels management prescriptions and implementation plans.
• Participates in the development, review, and modification of the fire management plan.
• Participates in the development of cooperative agreements to facility multi-agency projects.
• May serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on fuel management contracts.
• Plans, implements and participates in prescribed fire operations.
• Designs and conducts fuels management inventory analyses.
