The Fire Science Instructional Designer and Outreach Coordinator develops training material and implements online training and workshops for the National Interagency Fuels, Fire, and Vegetation Technology Transfer (NIFTT) and incorporates NIFTT training material in University of Idaho Wildland Fire Program courses. NIFTT's mission is to provide land managers with science-based analysis tools and training (e.g., online courses, webinars, tutorials, guidebooks, and workshops) focused on the assessment of fire behavior, fire effects, fire regimes, and vegetation dynamics. This position is responsible for the development, management, and oversight of NIFTT training material at the University of Idaho. Duties span teaching, research, outreach, and administration. Duties include 1) Developing, managing, and providing oversight of NIFTT program content, 2) Contribution to the administration of the NIFTT program, and 3) Developing and collaborating on outreach projects with the Wildland Fire Management RD&A, other NIFTT partners and the University of Idaho.
