The Northern California Prescribed Fire Council has just announced an upcoming prescribed fire training exchange (TREX), which will take place October 21 - November 3, 2013 in northern California. The TREX is a collaboration between the NCPFC, the Fire Learning Network, the CFSC, and a broad range of other partner organizations and agencies. Participants will participate in prep work and burning in different fuel/ecosystem types across a range of land ownerships, learn about local fire ecology and management, and share and build their experience in prescribed fire practices and fire effects.
