Fire Planning

Fire planning is an ongoing process that integrates science, management direction, and objectives into a variety of planning products that are used to implement programs on the ground.

Planning products include:

  • Fire Management Plans
  • Environmental compliance
  • Data & information for program and incident decision support
  • Budget analysis, etc.

Depending on agency and the task required, fire planning duties may be assigned to a fire planner or as collateral duty to someone else such as a Fire Management Officer or a dispatcher.
