    March 2018:  We will be presenting our standard 2-day FFI online training Wed. Apr. 11 and Thu. Apr. 12. Class will run 9 AM-3 PM MDT each day. This training class is intended for new users but is open to anyone who is interested. The class consists of online presentations and offline exercises. You will need to have a computer with the latest version of FFI-Lite installed in order to complete the exercises. There is no cost to take the class. Maximum class size is 25. Registration closes Wed. Apr. 4 or when the class fills. Contact Duncan Lutes to register: dlutes@fs.fed.us

    August 2017: FFI and FFI-Lite v1.05.04.00 have been posted on the Software and Manuals page. Existing users should follow the instructions in the Upgrade Installation Instructions document available on application download page. New users should follow the installation instructions in the FFI User Guide. The major changes in v1.05.04.00 are:

    • Allow import (Append or Replace) of macro plot metadata
    • Added Photoload protocol and report/analysis
    • Added Logs - Fixed-area protocol and report/analysis 
    • Updated export for FVS, FOFEM and FuelCalc
    • Added Site Index and Site Index Species on Plot Description protocol
    • Miscellaneous fixes in summary and analysis reports

    FFI (FEAT/FIREMON Integrated) is an interagency plot-level monitoring software application designed to assist managers with collection, storage and analysis of ecological information. It was developed through a complementary integration of the Fire Ecology Assessment Tool (FEAT) and FIREMON. FFI is funded by the Department of the Interior and US Forest Service, and developed in cooperation with Axiom IT Solutions.
