The Wood Science and Engineering Department at Oregon State University is seeking a highly motivated MS or PhD student. The successful applicant will develop methods and pathways to convert locally available forest residues into biofuels and value-added products. Knowledge of one or more of the following is required: wood science, chemistry, chemical analysis, or biomass thermochemical conversion. Prior research experience with biomass conversion and chemical analysis of biofuels is preferred.
Location: Corvallis, Oregon, USA
Duration: 2 years, further funding beyond 2 years will be made available for successful PhD applicants
Fully funded position and renewed yearly based on progress and performance
Expected start date: as early as January 2024
