Job: Lead Climate Scientist - Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - Livermore, CA


Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has an opening for a nationally recognized Lead Climate Scientist to spearhead a new Climate Impacts and Resilience Initiative. This position will focus on the quality, robustness, and relevance of LLNL’s climate science, security, and resilience efforts, interact with technical leaders and senior managers, and serve as the primary interface between the climate program and other LLNL discipline and program organizations, as well as the director’s office. It will also provide technical, operational, and administrative supervision and leadership for scientists and postdoctoral researchers supporting research on the impacts of climate change and adaptation, with a particular emphasis on the implications for national security and energy infrastructure. This position is in the Physical and Life Sciences (PLS) Directorate.
