The inaugural Columbia Gorge Prescribed Fire Training Exchange (TREX) will be a two-week program of peer-to-peer experiential learning through live fire training, skills practice, guest speakers, and more. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in developing their prescribed fire skills and restoring fire-adapted landscapes.
Both NWCG and non-NWCG participants will be accepted (i.e., no minimum qualifications are required). Position taskbook training opportunities will be available for NWCG-qualified participants. Participants without NWCG qualifications will also be able to fully participate in burns with one-on-one mentorship.
