Webinars, Seminars and Presentations

Presenter: Andy Rappe, Preserve Management Director, The Nature Conservancy in Florida

For fire practitioners, a disconnect often exists with between research, training and controlled burn objectives. Too often, researchers are viewed at best as “curious non-producers” and at worst a liability that compromises safety and operational tempo. Likewise, trainees are often tightly controlled under multiple layers of overhead, which limits learning opportunities. The intent of this talk is to demonstrate how research and training can have a positive effect - and even serve as the catalyst for a successful fire program. Following the presentation there will be time for audience Q/A with the speaker.

Hosted by The Nature Conservancy in Florida, the Southern Fire Exchange, and the University of Florida.
