Research and technology development assessing the immediate and direct effect of wildfire smoke on the lungs of firefighters in the field using a new hand held, quick touch ultrasound that can give immediate point of care assessment of potential lung injury. This topic is receiving a lot a attention appropriately, as wildfire smoke has become the number one cause of air pollution the last couple years in the western United States.
