Tree-Ring Fire History Field Tour on the Leech Lake Reservation and Chippewa National Forest

Location: Leech Lake Reservation and Chippewa National Forest, Minnesota

The field tour objectives are to see and discuss fire-scar derived historical fire regime information in red pine-associated natural communities, and to identify gaps in knowledge related to applying this information to modern fire and natural community management.

Hosts: University of Minnesota, Chippewa National Forest, Leech Lake Band of Chippewa, Oak Woodlands and Forest Fire Consortium, Lake States Fire Science Consortium
