Description

The Southern Blue Ridge Fire Learning Network & Consortium of Appalachian Fire Managers and Scientists are jointly hosting 4 days of management and research outcomes since the Fall 2016 wildfires. How has management changed in the wake of the fires and what new research has emerged since the fires?

Field trip stops include Nantahala NF to see backcountry burning, Coweeta Hydrologic Lab to see studies on watershed impacts from prescribed fire, wildfire and harvesting, and Rock Mountain wildfire to discuss 2016 wildfires and current conditions.
