DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, THIS WORKSHOP IS BEING OFFERED TWICE, ON MARCH 1st AND MARCH 2nd

Instructor: Trent Wickman, Air Resource Specialist for MI-MN-WI, Eastern Regional Office, USDA - Forest Service

Overview of the Workshop: Smoke management and smoke hazards are one of the most important things to plan for and manage when doing a prescribed burn, or to consider during any wildfire suppression. This 2/3rd day is an active participation “hands-on” virtual workshop where we will work through exercises using online smoke tools, and is designed for anybody with an interest in wildland fire. This is a good introductory workshop for anyone - those who have not had much smoke modeling and management exposure, or as an excellent refresher for those who have had another smoke course

No registration fee, however, attendance is limited so please register with Jack McGowan-Stinski, mcgowan-stinski.1@osu.edu . When you register you will then receive a confirmation email with virtual Zoom link, pre-workshop resource materials, and detailed agenda.

Hosted by the Lake States Fire Science Consortium and the Tallgrass Prairie and Oak Savanna Fire Science Consortium
