This webinar will present information on how mixedwood forests are more resistant to invasive insect damage and maintain continuity in ecosystem functioning following infestations compared to stands dominated by a single genus. We also discuss how recovery processes and the use of prescribed fire following infestations result in the persistence of mixedwood stands.
