This seminar is part of the Idaho Forest Group's Distinguished Speaker Series.
There have been incredible changes that have taken place in forestry, forest science, and the environmental and social context for the management of forests. Dr. Franklin will explore these changes, including those over his distinguished 60+ year career as a forester. He will also look to the future and explore what he thinks that foresters (especially young foresters) need to be thinking about in terms of challenges, obligations, and opportunities.
