13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Virtual Symposium

The 13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Symposium, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and under the AMS Agriculture and Forest Meteorology Committee, will be held 11-13 May 2021. Due to continued uncertainty and restrictions on travel associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, this conference will take place entirely virtually.

This Symposium is rescheduled from the originally planned May 2020 meeting in Palm Springs, California. Submitted abstracts from that event comprise the content of the May 2021 virtual meeting. Topics include:

  • Field Studies of Fire-Atmosphere Interactions
  • Fire Weather Services: Past, Present, and Future
  • Fire as an Earth-System Process
  • Mesoscale and Smaller Scale Atmospheric Impacts on Wildland Fire
  • Modeling Fire-Atmosphere Interactions
