This two day short course at University of Nevada, Reno, covers the unique taxonomy associated with grasses and some grass-like plants. Basic terminology, dissection skills, and use of a key are critical elements of this class. It covers identification of grasses, and how to collect and press grasses for future reference. Students will see about 50 different grass genera, along with various grass-like plants such as sedges and rushes. The class is for beginner through intermediate agrostologists.

Cost is $ 150.00 for non-students, $ 80.00 for students.

Sign up by emailing the instructor. Bring cash or check (made out to Board of Regents) to class. Request a receipt for proof of credit card payment and bring it to class.
