Postponed: American Meteorological Society (AMS) 13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Symposium

Postponed due to COVID-19 concerns

The 13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Symposium is organized by the AMS Committee on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology and hosted by the American Meteorological Society. The AMS Agircultural and Forest Meteorology STAC represents the membership on the subdiscipline surface-atmosphere exchange with a focus on feedbacks between the land surface and lower atmospheric processes (atmospheric surface layer), and how these influence climate, weather variability, and atmospheric impacts to near-surface atmospheric turbulent transport, forests, agricultural systems, and ecosystems in general. Committee members span expertise in atmospheric turbulence, plant hydrology, eddy covariance measurement, large eddy simulation (LES), agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, land surface biophysics modeling, forest fire meteorology, and ecosystem ecology.

Location: Palm Springs, CA
