Join the Oak Woodlands and Forests Fire Consortium for this free fire and forestry management workshop and field tour they are co-hosting with the University of Tennessee's Forest Resources Research & Education Center. There will be presentations and discussions on regional fire history as recorded in tree-rings, woodland and savanna restoration on the Cumberland Plateau, fire effects on forest stand development, and oak management at Sewanee: University of the South.

The afternoon field tour will be at the UT Highland Rim Forest and will include management discussions while touring their annual burn plots, shortleaf pine management areas, long-term prescribed fire units, and hazardous reduction treatments.
