The CFSC will be co-hosting a field tour and discussion of the 2012 Reading Fire with the Lassen Volcanic National Park on June 18th. The tour and discussion will focus on reconstruction of the incident chronologies, a discussion of the risk assessment and decision making process, severity patterns relative to historic events, and future wildland fire opportunities. The trip will be led by NPS park and regional fire management and ecology staff. The majority of time will be in the field after a short introduction to the park and an incident report on the fire.

If attending please dress for all types of weather, be prepared to walk over uneven ground, and bring a sack lunch.
