Description

ANNOTATION: This paper reviews the topic of biomass air gasifiers. The gasification process chemistry is outlined and the operating characteristics of two types of gasifiers are presented. A few typical applications are discussed and the economics for a particular system are presented in comparison with the costs of natural gas. Finally, the appendix gives a list of biomass research, demonstration projects and manufacturers.
