Description

ANNOTATION: At the time of this paper, it was found residue recovery operations in the intermountain region were mostly experimental, as mill residue supplies were adequate for hogfuel demand. However it was recognized that future wood fiber supplies and environmental concerns would provide incentives and markets for more residue recovery from the woods. This paper summarizes residue recovery research projects using a variety of equipment. Cost results are provided.
