Description

ANNOTATION: Procedures are provided for predicting weights of slash using tables of either slash weight per tree by DBH or slash weight per square foot of tree basal area by DBH. Slash weights include crowns and non-merchantable bole tips to 3-6 inch diameters. Slash can be predicted for material less than and greater than 3 inch diameters. ABSTRACT: As an aid to managing fuel and wood debris, procedures are provided for predicting weights of slash using tables of either slash weight per tree by d.b.h., or slash weight including crowns (live and dead foliage and branchwood) and unmerchantable bole tips to 3-, 4-, and 6- inch diameter limits. Slash weights can be predicted for material less than and greater than 3 inches in diameter.
