The BLM Library has over 40,000 volumes and over 250 periodical subscriptions in its collection. These materials cover all aspects of land management, natural resources, minerals, computer science, and administration. The library offers a full range of services including reference, interlibrary loans, and listings of recent publications. The Library's services are aimed at keeping its customers updated on research and development, applied technology, legislation, and administration. There are no charges to BLM offices or employees for any services provided. Library services may be made available to other Federal agencies on a fee-per-service or reimbursable basis. Some of the materials in our collection include: BLM Manual; BLM Directives; DOI Manual; U.S. Statutes at Large - Public Laws; U.S. Code; U.S. Code and Administrative News; Code of Federal Regulations (all titles); Federal Register - from 1936 to present; IBLA decisions; Decisions of the DOI relating to public lands; Decisions of the Comptroller General; Presidential Executive Orders - from June 1845 to present; Secretarial Orders U.S. Forest Service - various series; and U.S. Geological Survey - some bulletins, professional papers, open-file reports, water resource investigations Environmental Impact Statements - drafts and finals.
