Lesson Overview: Students are empowered to prepare for wildfire. They take their fire preparedness knowledge home and prepare for a wildfire evacuation. They make an evacuation communication plan and an evacuation go bag for themselves.

Lesson Goal: To give students the opportunity to plan with their families for a wildfire evacuation. After having learned about fire preparedness, it is important to have students begin to take agency over their own preparations.

Objectives:

  • Students can build their communication plan with their family.
  • Students can plan or create their go bag.
