Doug Shinneman, Research Ecologist with the USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center will discuss fuel break science and data gaps and how we are addressing them; Russ Parsons, Research Ecologist with the US Forest Service will discuss current use of fire and fuels models; and Lisa Ellsworth, Fire Ecologist with Oregon State University (OSU) and Claire Williams, Student at OSU will discuss the SageSTEP project results on the most effective treatments for constructing fuel breaks.
