Description

A report from an anonymous author regarding observations made in the Dry Pass and El Capitan Passage areas of Prince of Wales Island in July, 1927. The observer noted considerable hemlock mortality, inspected several trees, and suggested the damage may be caused by a Buprestid beetle, most likely Melanophila fulvoguttata, the hemlock borer.
