Background: Primary Survey Goal: to better understand how Prescribed Fire Councils (PFCs) are organized and operate, and improve coordination of efforts. Four focal-areas:1) Membership; 2) Organizational structure; 3) Annual meetings; 4) Immediate and future needs. The results will help the CPFC seek funding and prioritize activities in 2020. PFCs have become a valuable part of the fire community by affecting fire policy, training, and communication at local, state, and national levels.
