Research Objectives: 1) Generate efficient frontiers and explore tradeoffs across risk reduction, volume production, and cost minimization objectives. 2) Explore the impact of variable spatial extent and dispersed versus clustered treatment strategies. 3) Quantify frequency-magnitude distributions of fire-treatment interactions. 4) Quantify and expand 'leverage' concept: a) Unit treatment area versus burned area avoided b) Unit treatment cost versus suppression cost avoided c) Unit treatment NVC reduction versus NVC avoided.
