This presentation was given by Martin Alexander as part of the Alaska Division of Forestry Spring Operations Meeting on April 4, 2008 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Objectives of the presentation were tor review the philosophy and structure behind the Canadian Forest Fire Danger Rating System (CFFDRS) and to develop an appreciation for the similarities and differences between the systems used for rating fire danger and predicting fire behavior used in Canada and the U.S.
