Description

This infestation is located in the Ward Creek Drainage, along the west shore of Connell Lake near Ketchikan. At least 1/4 of the dominant and codominant trees have been defoliated in excess of 90%, and 1/2 of the remaining overstory has been defoliated in excess of 50%. Mortality is estimated to be approximately 15% of the overstory.
