Uttilizing StormCenter Communications Environcastâ„¢ for TV software, advanced satellite imagery from NASA and other agencies will be delivered directly to media partners, specifically TV meteorologists and weathercasters. Specific public safety messages, tips, factoids and visualizations as part of a public safety and educational campaign will be delivered to these media outlets in order to better inform the public of wildland fire dangers and threats. A special Envirocastâ„¢ Newsletter will also be distributed via email to broadcast meteorologists in fire prone area of the country. This pilot project is being funded by the USDA Forest Service.
