Description

Tree-ring data were obtained in 1942 from nine groups of living Spruce trees situated at about 50-mile intervals along the Yukon River, and from one group on the Kuskokwim River, Alaska. Particular attention is given to the significance of temperature as a factor influencing tree growth.
