From the text: 'Public support for prescribed fire is a job for skilled communications-planned, purposeful and directed toward specific audiences. In my estimation the audiences are primarily in those communities most directly affected by the practice. And that is where you have the greatest opportunity to get your story across: Woodlands are typically located near small towns and rural communities rather than metropolitan areas. It's easier to get your story told there.'
