From the text... 'The final conclusion was, then that for the type of slash studied there is no need to adjust the slash hazard index for exposure through that part of the fire season when wildfires are more likely to occur but, if the ratings are to be used as guides in fall slash burning where the operator has some choice of burning conditions, adjustment to the hazard index for various exposures could significantly improve the usefulness of the rating. A table of such adjustments, based on the results of this project is being drawn up.'
